Hey,
Long time, no blog.
I need to catch up on this, but there are a few in the pipeline.
As I wait for my results (Can’t find ID to collect them, come in the dreaded post tomorrow), with most of those who I know, happy with their results and seem to be leaving the country. I have been thinking this Idea of performance.
This hopefully will be a short post and will be mainly in the context of the church.
Basically, I have been considering this Idea of Performance and how some seem to rate themselves, by it. Well I believe everyone to be made Equal. So surely we should treat each other the same, in a loving way.
I don’t know if this is the case now, but I remember sometimes that there used to be arrogance of someone’s results. Again, I don’t know if this is the case now.
The thing is when this arrogance comes in, I think they fail to see something.
Who gave them these gifts? These abilities?
Did they create it themselves?

Your Didn’t really do anything as you just used what God gave you. Granted that can be quite a bit sometimes. But you should be doing it for God’s glory, not your own. To make his name, known rather than your own.
So if you are in Christ he is your Identity. No matter what your exams results are.

Now I AM NOT SAYING WE CAN’T CELEBRATE. We SHOULD Celebrate what God has done!
I think it is good to rejoice with others.
I believe that when we do well that we should give thanks to God for it.
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” - Colossians 3:17 (NIV)
But I think it is also valuable that we Mourn with those who mourn.
“Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.” - Romans 12:15 (NIV)
And a few words of Encouragement

He can do so much…

God gave you these abilities and these talents and yes use them.
To those of you who didn’t perform well (I’m presuming I haven’t. I don’t know completely what my results are, until they come in the post tomorrow), then I am there with you and for you.
To those of you who did perform well, well done! I am happy for you. Keep on going for God’s glory!
